Thank you, David :)

Anyway, as you discovered, the way the different browsers handles the font size has been a real headache for me for years, but I think I'll be able to fix it this time, so look for the next version ;-)

I did some digging and discovered that browser font handling is insanely complicated. But the upshot is that I don't think my issue is due to anything in your theme.

Since I'm here again, let me say that Precious is wearing really well. Every time I look at my blog I'm pleased with the look.

Kristen,

I have a question. I'm a programmer, and tend to post code snippets on my blog, inside nested 'code' and 'pre' tags. I've noticed the result displays nicely in IE, Opera, and Chrome, but the fonts look rather small in Firefox. I don't know much about typography; any thoughts on what is going on?

Hi, Alex;
Of course you can make the changes in the core and create a new standalone theme out of your modifications. This is GPL, so you can really do "whatever" you want with the theme.

Very nice theme! I love this. Very easy to modify. But i have a few questions. Im not into making child themes but i find it very convenient to just change the source files of this theme to get it the way i want. So my question is if i can modify this theme and add my backlink then upload it as a stand alone theme where i keep your backlink only to add my own for the modifications ive done and the new name it has been given. Can i do this?

I'm using Precious 4.0 as the parent of a very slightly simplified child theme. I want to thank you for your very elegant theme. I was previously using basic2col as my theme, so believe me when I say I like your work.

yours,
David
